Kubuntu will release version 10.10, the Maverick Meerkat, in October 2010. With this Beta pre-release, we are introducing some new and interesting things in preparation for the next official version of Kubuntu.

Kubuntu 10.04 LTS Beta 2 is out for testers, featuring our all new logo. 10.04 will be the first LTS to feature version 4 of the KDE Software Compilation, so we need lots of eyeballs to find the remaining bugs. A remix of our Jaunty Beta has been made with KDE 3 packages. The main focus of this remix is to keep the mature, stable, and familiar KDE3.5 desktop environment available for easy installation and use. Along the way, various bugs have been fixed, and small enhancements added, see the release notes page for information and where to download.
